I am excited to share 3 wonderful pieces of news.
First, I have a new THE MEMOIR MY DAD WOULDN’T WRITE podcast.
The Memoir My Dad Wouldn’t Write is a Radically honest conversation between a daughter and her dad. My dad has had an incredible life as a poet, activist, professor, and cultural worker. He wouldn’t write a memoir, so this series of conversations is partly that.

Next, I gave the platform address at the St. Louis Ethical Society, and shared the origin story of my passion project, WHO RAISED YOU? podcast.
I was so honored to use song, storytelling, and poetry to share how Who Raised You? Podcast was birthed with my community at the Saint Louis Ethical society. Listen here: https://ethicalstl.org/who-raised-you-culture-identity-and-liberation-jia-lian-yang-and-treasure-shields-redmond/
Last, WHO RAISED YOU? podcast was awarded the 2019 A-List spot for Local Podcast by St. Louis Magazine.
Using sound to tell important stories and teaching others how to do it continues to be an important part of what I offer to the world.
