Paulo Friere wrote, “Washing one’s hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral. ” This workbook was created to address the myth of the neutral classroom and was designed for first year writing teachers at the University of Alabama.  I delivered the content as a daylong workshop.  It includes, reading, links, printables, activities, and a resource page.
